Policies, Shipping & Handling


super important!:

We have recently streamlined our fulfillment efforts! We are super excited about this step in our business, as it ensures that you get your purchases so much faster! However, this means that we are unable to intercept your order and make any changes for you once it's been placed. Please double and triple check your order, information, and that you applied any possible coupon codes!

Kindly note that we respond to Shop emails on Mondays and Thursdays. We are a small team and we appreciate your patience in our response time! If you have a question that isn't otherwise answered below, email shop@lindsayletters.com.

quick f.a.q. & answers:

• We do not include prices on our packing slips, so if your purchase is being shipped as a gift, no worries!
• Canvases will be shipped via UPS. (No Saturday delivery, no signature required).
• All other products will be shipped via USPS.
• At this time, we only ship to the U.S. and Canada.

shipping times:

NEW! FASTER SHIPPING!!! Unless it is noted as a backordered item, we aim to have non-canvas orders fulfilled within 2 business daysRegarding canvas orders – each canvas is printed, built, and assembled just for you! Please allow 5-7 business days before your canvas ships via UPS. If you ordered non-canvas item(s) along with a canvas, we will ship those items first and separately, to ensure that you get all of your item(s) as promptly as possible.

You'll be notified via email with a shipping notice and tracking number on the day that your order is shipped. (Please allow some time after your tracking number is generated and sent to you before the tracking info displays as valid. It just takes some time for the post office to scan packages into their system).

a note about holidays:

The above projected shipping times exclude dates on or around nationally recognized and Postal Holidays. If you place your order within one of those dates, please allow for a few days extra shipping time. Additionally, if you order during or around an LL sale or between Thanksgiving and our Christmas orders cut-off date (December 15th, 2017), your order may take a bit longer than usual, as it's during these times that we're processing a larger than normal amount of orders. We encourage you to place your order early, and allow for possible short delays. Thank you!

multiple packages:

In order to be sure that you get your item(s) as safely and as soon as possible, we often times split our shipments. This means that if your order includes different types of products, they will most likely be shipped to you separately, in different boxes, and possibly on different days. You will receive separate tracking numbers for each shipment. Also please note that some items will ship faster than others – for instance, in-stock mugs will generally ship within 2 business days and canvases, due to their custom nature, will take about a week to be created just for you before it ships. 

handling:

Our packing and shipping teams take great pride in carefully packaging each order, however, we are unable to control how it is handled by the post office/UPS and sometimes accidents happen. If you received an item that is damaged or lost in the mail, please notify us as soon as you can – we're happy to replace the product within one week of it's (expected) arrival date. If you receive an item is less than perfect on our end (the wrong print, for example, or a flaw in the paper), we'll happily send you a new one at no cost. In events like these, any photos and additional info will help us greatly in our own quality control efforts!

returns & exchanges for non-canvas items:

We are unable to offer returns, exchanges or refunds unless your items arrive damaged or defective. If that is the case, please email us within one week of receiving your item, and we will make it right and send you a replacement as soon as possible! Please email shop@lindsayletters.com with details and include your order number. 

returns & exchanges for canvases:

Because our canvases are custom made, just for you, we are unable to accept returns or offer refunds or price adjustments on these items. If you're not totally satisfied with your canvas purchase, we will work with you to make a plan to exchange your canvas for a new canvas that better suits your needs. Please email shop@lindsayletters.com with details and include your order number. 

privacy & security:

We have a deep respect for your privacy and would never ever sell or share your information with outside companies or third parties.
 When you purchase from our shop, we collect your name, billing and shipping address, phone number, email address, and credit card or PayPal information. You provide this information so we can process and ship your order. Your credit card and personal information is completely safe and confidential.
When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address. When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system. With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products and other updates. 

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall. If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted. All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.  PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

Credit card and order data is encrypted and secure. Lindsay Letters' online shop is Level 1 PCI* compliant and uses 128 bit SSL** certificates to keep order details secure.
